Join our weekend workshops in 2013 and experience the Classical Chinese arts of Tai Chi, Qigong and Meditation. Give your mind and body a boost and learn a new healthy hobby. Workshops are held with instructor Nicola who supports you to learn as a method rather than ‘watch and follow‘. Microcosmic Orbit Meditation

Content: This workshop will focus on the Taoist internal energy practice of the Microcosmic Orbit meditation. This is the next level from the Inner Smile meditation. You will learn the location and sequence of the energy centres and experience a guided mediation session where we awaken energy in the body and guide it through a complete circuit.
Level: Everyone welcome, no experience necessary

5 Animal Frolics Qi Gong

Content: This workshop will look at posture, intention and flow of each movement and a run through of the complete 5 Animals Qigong set.

Nourish through Breath

Date: Saturday 20 July

2.00pm – 5.00pm

3 hours
Content: This workshop will focus on how we breath; automatic stress & relaxation response. Learn Buddhist breathing, Taoist breathing and visualisations based on Traditional Chinese Medicine; 5 gate breathing, microcosmic orbit and more. Over the workshop we will train our breath down from the normal rate, through to 3 breaths per minute. During the workshop you can be standing, seated or lying down. Bring a yoga mat and some cushions if you would like more comfort. The focus is to nourish the mind and body through improved breathing.
