New Wednesday Morning Class Horsham
Tai Chi and Qigong for All Abilities
From Wednesday 1 October 2014 there is a new drop-in class starting in Horsham. This replaces our previous Wednesday morning class at the Roffey Millennium Hall in Horsham, which drew to a close at the end of July 2014.
This type of class covers a variety of Tai Chi and Qigong exercises, suitable for any age of student, no matter fitness level or physical condition. Our focus is relaxation, healthy movement and deep breathing.
New beginner students are welcome to join us and make a positive step towards better health and wellbeing. You will learn new skills; co-ordination, balance, good posture, fall prevention, how to move the body as a complete unit, correct breathing methods, body awareness and sensitivity and how to strengthen the body without impact.
This class is open to all abilities, whether you are able to stand for an hour and move slowly, need a chair to sit on, or even a chair nearby to lean on. Everyone is welcome in this class. We celebrate the community exercising together towards better health.
Regular Tai Chi and Qigong practice can help increase balance, reduce physical tension, calm the mind, regulate and lengthen breathing, boost the immune system, strengthen the muscles, nourish the joints and improve clarity, focus and alertness.
