Workshop Title: Nourish through Breath
Date: Saturday 18 April from 10.30am – 1.30pm
Duration: 3 hours
Content: This workshop looks at how we breathe, both the automatic stress and relaxation response. You will learn a number of different breathing methods for improved health, organ function, a calmer mind and more relaxed body. The workshop will focus on nourishing the mind and body through deeper, softer, longer, more regulated and circular breathing. Covering Buddhist breathing, Taoist breathing and visualisations based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Over the workshop we will train our breath down from the normal breath rate to 3 breaths per minute.
Level: Everyone welcome.
Please Bring: The majority of the workshop will be seated or standing, at the end when we reach a much longer breath you will be lying down. A yoga mat, blankets and some cushions/pillows for comfort. Bear in mind the hall floor is hard wood.
