One of our students, Rob Eggers and his friend Roland Taylor are taking on Britain’s hardest marathon (The Picnic) to raise money for a charity called The Brompton Fountain. http://www.justgiving.com/thepicnic
Roland’s son Finley was born with a congenital heart problem called Aortic Stenosis, which is a narrowing of the aortic valve in his heart. At just six months Finley underwent a procedure to widen this valve at The Royal Brompton Hospital.
The procedure was a success and as a way of saying a massive thank you, we are running The Picnic marathon to raise money for The Brompton Fountain. This charity supports families whose children are under treatment for life threatening heart & lung conditions at the Royal Brompton & Harefield hospitals.
The Picnic is an ultra-tough trail marathon set in the picturesque area of Box Hill, Surrey. It is widely regarded as the hardest marathon in the country. Details here www.trionium.com/picnic
We would really appreciate it if you would sponsor Rob and Roland, any amount would be gratefully received. www.justgiving.com/thepicnic
