Roland and Robs Marathon 2014

One of our students, Rob Eggers and his friend Roland Taylor are taking on Britain’s hardest marathon (The Picnic) to raise money for a charity called The Brompton Fountain.

Roland’s son Finley was born with a congenital heart problem called Aortic Stenosis, which is a narrowing of the aortic valve in his heart. At just six months Finley underwent a procedure to widen this valve at The Royal Brompton Hospital.

The procedure was a success and as a way of saying a massive thank you, we are running The Picnic marathon to raise money for The Brompton Fountain. This charity supports families whose children are under treatment for life threatening heart & lung conditions at the Royal Brompton & Harefield hospitals.

The Picnic is an ultra-tough trail marathon set in the picturesque area of Box Hill, Surrey. It is widely regarded as the hardest marathon in the country. Details here

We would really appreciate it if you would sponsor Rob and Roland, any amount would be gratefully received.
