Chronic Pain Qigong Livestream

Come along to our monthly online livestream for those living with chronic pain, who would like to explore gentle and powerful movements for both mind and body.  Join instructor Nicola from the warmth and comfort of your own home for an hour of self discovery, discussion and practice in a private and welcoming community. Everyone attending the live stream will be living with chronic pain and share similar experiences as you.

Nicola lives with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and understands personally the impact on all areas of life living with chronic pain creates. These 'Hibernating Bear' lessons are designed to help ease pain levels, decrease fatigue, reframe how you respond to pain, boost the happy brain chemicals, improve all functions of the body and release mental and physical tension. All to help you live well with your pain.

Mind Body Connection
Acceptance through the absence of resistance, the meaning of true physical relaxation. Gentle movements and mindfulness exercises. Healthy distraction.

Nourish through Breath
Seated stillness breathing exercises and discussion for health and well-being. Stress and the relaxation response. How to breathe properly and why it is important.
Seated or Lying Down
Detox through Movement
Activating the lymph system through movement.
Seated or Standing
Healthy Joints
Expansion and compression of the joint system for improved health. Looking at the major joints and the spine.
Seated or Standing
Healthy Soft Tissue Movement
Gentle and powerful spiralling movements to lengthen the connective tissue, relax the fascia and strengthen the muscles.

Awareness, Posture & Alignment
Training body awareness through movement and stillness as a skill. The importance of physical symmetry. Protecting the weak points and strengthening problem areas.
Seated or Standing
Graceful Mindset
Working through challenges and struggle in the learning process with kindness. Movement and stillness compassion exercises. Introduction to meditation practice.

Duration:  1 hour.

Ticket Cost:  The cost is £7 per person.

Ticket Payments: Debit or credit card via Paypal only (you do not need a Paypal account).

Participation: It is encouraged to engage in the lesson using a microphone and/or webcam, there is the option to watch and follow only.

Suited To: These lessons are open to beginner level students upwards, where no experience is needed. Everyone is welcome from 18 years to 80 plus.
