Evening Tai Chi Classes

Join our friendly and welcoming Chen Tai Chi classes in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Our community group meets on Tuesday evenings at the Ryde School Upper Chine. Learn the traditional Chen Tai Chi syllabus with loosening exercises, standing practice, silk reeling exercises and form training. Develop posture and alignment awareness, movement choreography, Tai Chi principles and breath work. Instructor Nicola will guide you through the class with in-depth instruction, feedback and adjustments to help you learn, develop and digest the traditional practices. This class welcomes all levels practising and learning together, join anytime.

Cost: ÂŁ8 per class

Payments: On the day. Cash or contactless credit/debit card via SumUp.

Format: Drop-in, pay as you go.

Location: Prep School Hall, Ryde School with Upper Chine, Queen’s Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight, PO33 3BE.

Directions within the School: Enter through the gate to the right of the inner car park barrier. Follow that building line on the right down a path until you reach a corner. There are signs on the wall opposite and the wall on the right with “PREP years 3-6” written on. These are arrows to the Prep School Hall. Turn into the alley on the right and head for the building entrance, it’s a curved bay front with double doors. Also see the photographs in the gallery.

Parking: Limited visitor parking to the front of the school. On street parking in the local area, that is free after 6pm.
