Join our friendly community Chen Tai Chi classes in Shanklin town centre on the Isle of Wight. Learn traditional Chen style Tai Chi movements, including warm up drills, breath work techniques, standing practice, silk reeling exercises and form training. Develop posture awareness, choreography, Tai Chi principles and the body method. Instructor Nicola will guide you through each class with in-depth training, instruction and feedback to help you learn the traditional practices. This class welcomes all levels learning together, join anytime.

Wednesday Evening Class @ Shanklin

Lesson Content: Chen Tai Chi

Day: Thursdays.

Time: 6.45pm – 7.45pm.

Upcoming Dates: 4, 11, 18, 25 September. October and ongoing dates TBC.

Cost: ÂŁ8 per class

Payments: On the day. Cash or contactless credit/debit card via SumUp.

Format: Drop-in, pay as you go.

Suited To: Students must have the physical ability to stand, step and move around slowly for the duration of the class. This is not a seated class or suitable for students who live with complex health needs. Please see our Hibernating Bear classes.

Location: The Studio, Cinders for Tea, 14 High Street, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, PO37 6JZ.

Directions: Come through the main door on the High Street, which enters into the cafe. The lights will be off as the cafe is not open. Push the glass door to enter. Please wait in the cafe until the class before has left. Thank you.

Parking: The Landguard Road pay and display car park is a short walk away from the venue. Alternatively there is on street parking in the roads behind the venue.

Medical History: As with all medical conditions, injuries and/or ill-health, please consult with your Doctor prior to starting a class. Tai Chi, Qigong and Meditation are not a replacement for conventional medical treatment.  Please advise instructor Nicola prior to class of any medical conditions, injuries and/or ill-health that may prevent you from safely taking part.
